I've gone and done it. I sold my Vetta 1 with matching extension cab and FBX for the princely sum of £400 on ebay tonight.
I am no longer a Vettanarian.
Thank you to all the excellent gents here who have helped me on the long journey of discovery that was my Vetta odyssey. I enjoyed being part of this community.
Cheers

You don't have to actually own an amp to be part of the community. We can't afford to be that picky any more!

Yeah, until they kick me out I'm still here yapping away - and I haven't owned either of my Vettas for at least 18 months or so!
I DO still have my custom Miller Variax though so I guess that keeps my membership open?

I agree. No need to give up old friendships. I really need to sell my Vetta to help finance other equipment I need. But the prices are so low that I'll use it as a coffee table before I'll give the damn thing away.
There's nothin like a wide spread. |

dear raceboy,
that's the "angus & malcolm young edition of everyday furniture": they said that if they ever had a stratocaster, they'd use it as an ashtray.

Well, I have to say that I agree with them. I was offered $300 for the Vetta I w/hardware-software upgrade. Without the FBV. I'm going to pick up one of these http://www.elderly.com/fmic/items/HRDP.htm tomorrow. It will be replacing the Vetta as my stage amp. Haven't decided which direction I'll go for effects. Is that thing ugly or what?lmao

Did you get it from the GC off of Nasa Rd? I saw one like that there the other day. That amp screams rock and roll.

Well, I don't have room for a Vetta sized coffee table, so it just had to go. Even for £400. At least I have £400 and some space - before I just had a large object that was never going to be used.
I have a Boogie MkIV and a TC Electronics G system - and I see you are wondering what effects to use - I don't recommend the G system - it is a PIG to get working. The sounds are fab, but setting it up is completely ridiculous unless you are a professional software jockey. The Vetta was quite complex, but this is off the frickin' scale. |

Thanks, Boogie. It does sound really good! I haven't hooked up the floor pod yet because I'm still digging exploring the amp/guitar tones with the Strat and amp. There are a lot of really nice tones there. I'm a happy camper.

That's the one, Stu. You're welcome any time to stop by if you're in the neighborhood so you can check it out if you like. Oh yeah, I did get them to come down a bit on the price. I got the amp and Floor Pod Plus for the swap with the SVMKII.

I don't need or want ANYTHING more complicated than the Vetta!lol I'll eventually get the M13 for FX, but for now I have a Floor Pod Plus. That's plenty good enough for a stage rig.
